What we cover in this blog ?

Did you know millions of pets all over America associate the month of October with something special? No, it's not Halloween candy or getting your pet ready with a holiday costume and custom dog collar; but it's the prospect of a better life. October month celebrates not one but two special pet events: National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month and Adopt a Dog Month which raises awareness of the numerous canines in shelters and rescues worldwide that are available for adoption and are looking for their forever homes.

However, October also features a few more interesting pet holidays. Well! Before learning about the national pet days and their significance, let's first learn about the holidays.

What are the National Pet Days?

National Pet Days highlight the importance of pets in people's lives and acknowledge the joy they bring. A study found that owning a pet had many health advantages, such as improved mental health and decreased stress. And the goal of this event is to celebrate the unwavering affection that animals have for us. Examples: National Pet Day- April 11, National Dog Day- August 26, National Pet Bird Day- September 17, and many more.

October Pet Holidays

Even though you don't need any special occasion to pamper your pets, be prepared to do so on the following October 2022 pet holidays list.
